This research explores the relationships between the production of rural space, everyday interactions with 'nature,' and the meanings specific places hold. Specifically, the research has produced insight into the ways rural landscapes are perceived, governed, performed, lived within, and narrated. |

These studies focused on how youth produce social lives within everyday rural landscapes, and how nature is put to work on disciplining and providing care to adjudicated young people. |
